This application is a typical DeskTop application built using MicroSoft Visual Foxpro. Foxpro will cease to be “supported” by MicroSoft from January 2015 .

This does not mean it will “ stop working” , in fact, the general agreement of experts is that Foxpro applications will continue to work for another 10 years until Microsoft gets to Windows version 2020 or some such.

It does mean however, that support expertise for Visual Foxpro will become very scarce and any business would require contingency plans.

Each application should be reviewed on a case-by-case basis and for business-critical cases, a conversion to dotNet should be considered
